Every single year people promise a variety of things to better themselves in the New Year. This year I am going to make my goals realistic. I am going to try extremely hard to make sure I can live up to my expectations.
1. Try my best to get to the gym every week.
I want to try and get there at least 3-4 days a week. Even if I can get there for a 30 minute cardio session, that is better than not going at all.
2. Be more confident.
I tend to be a little worried about perception, but who doesn't. This year I want to grow to be comfortable in my own skin and the person I am.
3. Give up fast food!
I am not talking about the pizza you go get at 2am after a long night out, I am talking about McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, Taco Bell... etc. Although that food might be good in the moment it really isn't good for you. I tend to grab that quick on the go but nope, I am going to try the whole "self-control thing" and go without it.
4. Stress about the things that only matter.
I am always stressed about something, whether it is about perfecting a lesson plan for teaching a class or if it is someone sick in my family. I continue to work hard on anything I do and just know when it is good enough.
5. Spend time with loved ones.
This could mean your family at home, which I always try to do. This can also mean your friends or sorority sisters at school. You do not need an event to bring you all together. Go out of the way to hangout with someone you lost touch with over the years or a sister you never got to know too well. Make your experience a great one!
6. Try to focus on the NOW!
Come Spring 2015 I am graduating. It is finally starting to set in and needless to say it is one of the most uncomfortable feelings in the world. I love where I am now, I have the best sorority sisters, friends, and I love being at Kutztown University. I do not want to graduate just yet, especially because WHERE WILL I BE IN THE NEXT FEW MONTHS! I always begin to stress about where will I be? Will I be alright there? Will I love my job? How far away from my family will I be? And all of these questions will drive me insane. This is my senior year of college, and my last semester. I am going to make it count!

The Final Countdown
Twenty-three days. That’s how many days I have left until I
walk across the stage and accept my diploma with the School of Public Affairs.
That’s twenty-three days until I receive my Bachelor of Arts in Criminal
Justice. On December 19, 2014, I will
have been in School since August 2010.
I’ll be completely honest with everybody. The University of
Colorado at Colorado Springs was NOT my first choice when I was applying for
colleges. I had a lot of options when it came to places to choose from but
ultimately I chose UCCS because my ex best friend asked me to go with her. I
never wanted to consider Colorado Springs as an option and halfway through my
sophomore year, I was ready to transfer. It was when I was on my way to the
library that I was approached by a sister of Phi Sigma Sigma and she was trying
to get me to go to recruitment. I didn’t want to go…I was the furthest thing
from what I thought was the “typical” sorority girl but after going to
recruitment, I quickly fell in love. I felt at home and I was loved and
accepted. I had finally found where I belonged at UCCS.
People always say bad things about Greeks, but what they
never tell you is that if you join the right organization, you’re right at
home. Joining Phi Sig made the time go by faster when I finally wanted time to
slow down. I found my home away from home and I fell in love with my
organization but not only did I fall in love with Phi Sigma Sigma, I found my
soulmates.
I would have never met my best friends if we didn’t all end
up in Phi Sig together. We all came into
Phi Sig 6 months apart but I couldn’t imagine my life without the two of
them. I watched one of them go from new
member to Panhellenic delegate to archon and the other go from scribe to vice
archon and I’ll never be able to describe how proud I am of them. They both
inspire me to be the best person that I can possibly be and I know that I can
depend on the two of them, just like they both can depend on me.
While I don’t have my own big sapphire, I do have my twin
little sapphires and they are the most beautiful women that I know. They are my
rocks. I’ve taught them a lot and in turn, they’ve also taught me a lot.
They’ve been there through all of it with me and we’ve truly grown together.
Everything that’s good in the world is what dwells inside of their souls. I’m
proud of them and I know they’ll go on to do great things both inside and out
of this chapter.
As for the rest of my chapter, I have no idea where I would
be without any of them. I’ve laughed for countless hours and stood in the
parking lot talking to them in the freezing cold! I know that wherever I go,
I’ll always have them! The time that I’ve been in Phi Sig, I’ve grown as a
person and have become a woman of substance and character and I have the past four years to thank for that!
The countdown to the end has finally begun and I’m officially 23 days
from being a college graduate. I’m 23 days from being the absolute best version
of myself. I’m 23 days from being a Phi Sigma Sigma alumna.
I'm 23 days from beginning the next chapter in my life but I promise that I won't forget the chapter that I came from!

Graduation Bucket List
This week is right to the point. I will walk away from my pretty little college in a month and it doesn't feel real. The past 4 years have been memorable, painful, crazy, sad, funny, and all of the above. But there are still a few things I want mark off my bucket list before I cross that stage.
1. Go on a weekend adventure to someplace completely random with my besties.
2. Sneak a thermos of wine into class and get a little tipsy.
3. Dance on a table.
4. Tell standards the only thing I can say is I'm sorry for Party Rocking.
5. Do a crazy dare from someone that normal Molly would NEVER d0.
6. Go muddin.
7. Put my cell down for a few days and just have a wine weekend with my girls.
8. Celebrate every holiday we miss with each in one night (even Presidents' Day)
9. Write everyone I care about letters for them to open whenever the need encouragement.
10. Go out in a blaze of glory by doing one last bar crawl, collecting something from each bar, and top off my bad decisions box.
Not to reader // a bad decisions box is memorabilia from four years of college and some choices that turned out to be bad an or awkward. We all have them, no shame.
11. and finally I want to get a picture of every guy or girl who been a total (insert bad word here) to me, hang them on a wall, fill balloons with paint and just chuck them.
All I can say at this point is I've got one month left, and I'm going to make the best of it!

A Seniors Pre-Recruitment Thoughts
Lately, there has been a
lot of talk in the SGT world about being a senior, but one thing that we
haven’t covered is what it’s like to be a senior during her final recruitment.
I came into my chapter as a sophomore, but even then, I felt like I still
picked things up relatively quickly, even more so after I was in charge of
recruitment for a year.
Now that my chapter and I have less than a week until
recruitment, I’m no longer asking myself why I have to constantly be at the
recruitment practices or why I have to continue to run through preference when
I know the ceremony and could do it with my eyes closed. Now that I’m a senior,
I’m finally starting to see that I’m doing this, not only because we want the
best girls that we can possibly get, but because I want girls to come into this
chapter and to continue the legacy that so many of us have worked hard to leave
behind.
I’ve come to find that I’m no longer complaining when our
amazing recruitment chair asks us to run through our songs again because I know
that my time is limited when it comes to be able to sing these songs and chant
these chants as PNM’s pour into our room for recruitment. There have actually already been times when
I’ve had to slip out of the room so I wouldn’t break down into tears in front
of my sisters because I know that I’m down to the last two weeks of being able
to sing these songs.
You anxiously wait for your senior day and for the time to
graduate to continue on to the next chapter of your life but what nobody tells you
is that these are the times that you’ll miss. You’ll miss sitting in a circle
with your sisters as you learn new songs for recruitment. You’ll miss laughing
until your stomach hurts and tears are streaming down your cheeks from
constantly laughing. Most of all, you’ll
miss the faces of the PNM’s that become new members as they walk through the
door on bid day.

It’s during recruitment that you want to tell all of the PNM’s that wherever they end up, even if it isn’t in your chapter, that they need to enjoy their college years because they go by in a flash. It’s recruitment time that I’m able to say that I’ll truly miss my sisters and my chapter. In three months I’ll be moving on to the next chapter in my life but I definitely won’t forget the chapter that I came from.

Letter to the Incoming Freshman
College is a whole lot more than I expected. I thought I was going to school for a degree but what a am receiving is a whole lot more! Freshman year I walked into a co-ed dorm with a car full of stuff. I met people who made a huge impact on me. I wouldn't trade living in a dorm room for anything because I had met so many people. I had a roommate who I didn't really know because we met online, I had a friend who I met at connections, and I had friends of friends. We had a group of people we would hangout with whenever we weren't in classes and it was great. That ended when one, two, three, four of them decided to drop out or transfer schools. It was the best and probably worst year having the highs and lows not so far apart. Those of us who stayed... well the three of us from the group remaining became distant, except for me and my roommate who are going on three years living together out of four.
One of the best decisions I made my freshman year was going through Fall recruitment. I was beyond terrified but I walked into rooms of girls with open arms and I was so happy to find my home away from home. These are the girls I leaned on for the problems with friends, or a bad breakup with an ex boy friend. This is something I will never forget and always be apart of!
Sophomore year of college I lived with 7 people including myself. This was one of the worst ideas I have made in college, because the amount of drama that came with living with some of my friends wasn't worth the friendships lost or broken. When you make a decision on who to live with the following year make sure you agree on stuff like when you go to bed, ideas on drinking or going out, and anything else that you know you value like shower time! When you have this many girls in an apartment, the hearsay it doesn't make for a great outcome. While we are all on speaking terms now one of my biggest regrets is not being as close to them or fully mending those wounds.
Junior year I lived off campus in an apartment. I lived with my freshman roommate and a random girl. It wasn't half bad, we had our own place, kitchen, our own rooms, and our own bathroom! It went way better than any other year, I made new friends, I had a blast!
Senior year starts this Fall, my story hasn't been written yet. I am so excited to move in to an apartment off campus on Main Street with two of my sorority sisters. We may not have our own bathrooms or a gym right next door but we have each other and all the possibilities in the world. Lets see how this chapter ends, even though I never want it to!

Welcoming to the Blogging World
Hey everyone! I figured I was going to start my own blog because I love to write and I have gotten great feedback on my contributing articles I have written for different blogs, like Little Problems.
I am going to be a senior in the Fall at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. I am an Early Education major and a sister of Phi Sigma Sigma. I am Vice Archon of my chapter and Vice President of United Greek Council. I am one of those girls who is involved in everything, and rarely gets overwhelmed by it all. Being a busy person makes me make time for the important things in like... school, sorority and work... Did I mention sorority?
Being a sister of Phi Sigma Sigma has taught me a lot throughout my college experience and I am dreading the day where I switch from sister to alumni. Just the thought of that HUGE switch makes me twitch. I am planning to blog about my college experience, sorority experience, and fears for the big bad world. Keep checking out my blog to see if I am going to sink or swim in the real world we call life!
