The is a small, family owned business bases in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. They travel from school to school, all over Northeast and Southeast Pennsylvania selling sorority and fraternity shirts and various clothing items. Everything is hand made and there are a variety of great patterns. They also do group orders within the company.
On April 23rd, 2014 Stacy's Got Greek had a Fashion Show after the trivia part of Greek Week sponsored by Kutztown University's United Greek Council. Two students were chosen from each chapter to be dressed up in items of Stacy's hand made designs. It was a success and she even donated a part of her profits that evening to the UGC's Philanthropy the Animal Rescue League of Berks County.

College is a whole lot more than I expected. I thought I was going to school for a degree but what a am receiving is a whole lot more! Freshman year I walked into a co-ed dorm with a car full of stuff. I met people who made a huge impact on me. I wouldn't trade living in a dorm room for anything because I had met so many people. I had a roommate who I didn't really know because we met online, I had a friend who I met at connections, and I had friends of friends. We had a group of people we would hangout with whenever we weren't in classes and it was great. That ended when one, two, three, four of them decided to drop out or transfer schools. It was the best and probably worst year having the highs and lows not so far apart. Those of us who stayed... well the three of us from the group remaining became distant, except for me and my roommate who are going on three years living together out of four.
One of the best decisions I made my freshman year was going through Fall recruitment. I was beyond terrified but I walked into rooms of girls with open arms and I was so happy to find my home away from home. These are the girls I leaned on for the problems with friends, or a bad breakup with an ex boy friend. This is something I will never forget and always be apart of!
Sophomore year of college I lived with 7 people including myself. This was one of the worst ideas I have made in college, because the amount of drama that came with living with some of my friends wasn't worth the friendships lost or broken. When you make a decision on who to live with the following year make sure you agree on stuff like when you go to bed, ideas on drinking or going out, and anything else that you know you value like shower time! When you have this many girls in an apartment, the hearsay it doesn't make for a great outcome. While we are all on speaking terms now one of my biggest regrets is not being as close to them or fully mending those wounds.
Junior year I lived off campus in an apartment. I lived with my freshman roommate and a random girl. It wasn't half bad, we had our own place, kitchen, our own rooms, and our own bathroom! It went way better than any other year, I made new friends, I had a blast!
Senior year starts this Fall, my story hasn't been written yet. I am so excited to move in to an apartment off campus on Main Street with two of my sorority sisters. We may not have our own bathrooms or a gym right next door but we have each other and all the possibilities in the world. Lets see how this chapter ends, even though I never want it to!
Literally, everything and anything I over think. I think about the circumstances. I think about what could have been. How I could have changed things. How these situations can change me. Even how my future could be with each decision.
Sometimes I freak myself out about thinking about every possible scenario that I just stop. I stop, take a breath, and think about if I didn't do this one thing how could my life end up? It gets scary sometimes but I just have to take a step back.
All boys probably think that all girls over think, and don't get me wrong I am sure a lot of us do but not everybody has there mind going one hundred miles an hour thinking about what is, what could be, or other options? My only goal in life is to be happy doing what I love, with people I love next to me. Is that so hard to hope for. Just hoping I find the people I love sooner, but I know with the ones I have around me now, I am off to a great start.
Although not every sorority girl is the Lilly loving, bow wearing, monograms types, some are. Etsy is perfect to find that monogram necklace, decal, or shirt that is priced to perfection. Being a server in a restaurant is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I have officially been a waitress at a sport's bar for about 3 weeks now. When it isn't too busy and I have one to three tables it isn't bad, but when it is the day of the World Cup U.S. vs Belgium game it gets a little wild.
As many people know servers tend to have a very low salary per hour, usually below three bucks. We rely on our tips to make money and serve as our income. It is very disappointing when people come in and expect them to be your only table in the restaurant and would like your full attention. When going into a restaurant try and keep these things in mind, I know myself I can have a hard time grasping this myself sometimes:
1. If you want extra sides or dipping sauces let us know before we bring out your order, so we don't have to make a million and one trips back and forth.
2. If you have a coupon please don't wait til I bring the bill to tell me you have it.
3. If you want the check split please let me know ahead of time.
4. If your with a party of 8 or more make sure you tip the correct amount. I have had less then 10 bucks before and I have busted my butt for those tables!
5. Understand they are probably trying there best.

What is Greek Life Girl? This company creates sorority gifts that are girly and preppy. They have Big & Little gifts, Bid Day shirts, or even alumni stuff! There is a wide selection and they even do bulk orders! The company which was originally started in July 2012 with two sororities Kappa Kappa Gamma and Kappa Alpha Theta, is an extension of a company called Memento. Greek Life Girl currently has 20 sororities that they are licences for and 6 fraternities.
Monogramming to a new level is something that GLG does so well. They have combined two of sorority girls favorite things: their sorority letters and monograms. They have a unique monogram that is hand drawn by designer Sandra Love and a block style.
Terri Johnson is a passionate, detailed, driven, and creative women who is behind it all. She started in her basement with one embroidery machine which blew up to this beautiful, fantastic company!

This company doesn't only have a fantastic team of employees but they also have a large group of campus representatives, I am one of them. There are 58 campus reps from all over the U.S., from Washington to Pennsylvania! This campus rep program has many rewards and you get to see how well advertising is for the company and get to see how many sales you get. We get to see many of the different merchandise before it is launched and even get some for us to try! I just received a Greek Life Girl spirit jersey that I love wearing with my shorts everyday! Finally out of the dorms and you need to bring your own furniture? Don't fret! Garage sale, yard sale, even thrift store finds can be a huge score! Find that broken down dresser or the table with a little pit of a wobble, or finally that just plain ugly chair. If plain wood isn't your style your in luck! The best thing to do to spruce up your apartment is to find paint and go crazy! I know, I know, you probably can't paint the walls but that doesn't mean you can't bring color to your apartment with your furniture! It is easy to add a few screws to a broken piece on a dresser or tighten some screws in a table, but once your done comes the fun part!
What color should I paint my furniture? Think of the comforter you have in your room. What colors are in it? Mine is floral, which has yellows, reds, baby blues, and whites. I am immediately drawn to the white so I went to the paint store and got some paint.
The best way to begin painting your furniture is to sand it down first. Get all of the rough spots sanded out, then you can use primer on it. Primer is necessary for your furniture to have a nice clean color. Then you can add your color. Give it about an hour between coats or until it is pretty dry. Do as many coats of paint as your would like!
If you have a cushion on your chair there is no reason to stick the the old and scary fabric. Go to the fabric store and pick out something fun! Again I am a huge floral or chevron fan so I would probably gravitate to one of them but do what makes YOU happy. You will be the one seeing this furniture and living with it everyday. The fabric is the icing on top of the cake of your new furniture.
Sometimes what you find at garage sales can truly be a treasure. I know I am a big HGTV fan as well as a Lara Spencer fan and she is definitely someone who has inspired my thrift store finds! I hope you can take my painting advice & brighten your apartment up with some pops of color!
