I'm an English major, so you'd assume that I'd suggest you some really literature-y books to read, well I'm here to say no. The books that are the most interesting are not Shakespeare, Mark Twain or any of that nonsense, but books that actually keep you entertained and intrigued. These are five books you will definitely want to read because they're just plain amazing.
1. Nice is Just a Place in France By Betches Love This
-This book is absolutely hilarious, if you have not read it or heard of them you need to first of all check out their website betcheslovethis.com because you'll actually die of hysteria. This book is so incredibly true that you cannot stop laughing. It's a great mellow read that will definitely keep you laughing.
2. Girl Boss By Sophia Amoruso
-Amazing book for all you ladies out there who are struggling with what you want to do as a future career. This book is so down to earth and relatable on so many levels. Amoruso, the owner of Nasty Gal website which revenues millions of dollars in sales is so inspiring and explains her story from the ground up and how she ended up going from someone lost in the world, to a successful entrepreneur.
3. The Fault in Our Stars By John Greene
-Yes typical girl book but I don't care this book is absolutely amazing. It's a tear jerker without being too "Nicholas Sparks-y" and exhibits what life is really about and the true meaning of love. If you want a chick flick-y novel this book is definitely for you.
4. The Woman I Wanted to Be By Diane von Furstenburg
-Very similar to Amoruso's book about how Diane became super successful [I'm still in the process of reading] however this book is amazing. I fell in love with her after watching her show on E! picking her new global brand ambassador and she's one of the cutest European women and she's so insanely talented.
5. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling
-I apologize if Harry Potter is not for you but my god I will never get over this series. [No I haven't read more than just the first one but I am OBSESSED with the movies]. This book is so amazing to read and I know people say to watch the movie after the book, but this book is just great. For me nothing will ever beat the first movie/book.
